Position Objective

The Associate Marketing Specialist supports the execution and coordination of integrated marketing campaigns that promote the organization's programs, advocacy initiatives, educational offerings, products, services, and events. This position works closely with the Communications & Marketing team and internal departments to increase member awareness, engagement, and participation across California's Credit Unions, Nevada's Credit Unions, and Utah's Credit Unions. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and detail-oriented marketing professional with experience or foundational knowledge in digital marketing, email marketing, website content, and campaign coordination. This role provides hands-on support across marketing channels while helping ensure campaigns are executed accurately, consistently, and on schedule.

Position Description

• Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, website, social media, and digital channels.

• Coordinate campaign tasks, timelines, and deliverables to help keep projects on schedule.

• Collaborate with writers, designers, the email marketer, Marketing Specialist, and internal departments to support marketing initiatives.

• Help ensure campaigns consistently reflect organizational branding and messaging.

• Maintain and update website marketing content and landing pages.

• Support website improvements that enhance engagement and user experience.

• Assist with search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives and digital marketing best practices.

• Research emerging digital marketing trends, tools, and tactics. · Partner with the email marketer to support email marketing campaigns.

• Assist with audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, list preparation, and quality assurance.

• Monitor email performance and help identify opportunities to improve engagement.

• Assist with A/B testing, marketing automation, and email marketing best practices.

• Provide backup support for basic email creation and scheduling when needed.

• Monitor campaign performance across marketing channels.

• Assist with reports and dashboards highlighting campaign performance, member engagement, and marketing trends.

• Track key performance indicators including website traffic, email performance, campaign engagement, and participation metrics.

• Help gather and organize data to inform future marketing initiatives.

• Maintain the department's marketing calendar and assist with campaign scheduling.

• Support marketing processes, workflows, and campaign execution.

• Assist with documenting marketing procedures, templates, and best practices.

• Support the use and maintenance of marketing platforms and digital tools.

• Maintain marketing assets, templates, and shared resources to ensure consistency across the department.

• Identify and share opportunities to improve marketing processes and the member experience.

• Support initiatives designed to increase member awareness and participation.

• Research audience behavior and marketing trends to support campaign planning.

• Assist with member surveys and engagement initiatives.

• Contribute ideas for new marketing tactics and approaches.

• Write and edit short-form marketing content including headlines, email copy, social media posts, landing pages, advertisements, and promotional materials.

• Support content updates across digital marketing channels. · Help ensure messaging aligns with organizational branding and marketing objectives.

• Build collaborative relationships across departments.

• Serve as a resource for routine marketing requests and campaign support.

• Contribute ideas that improve campaign execution, efficiency, and member engagement.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements

• Foundational knowledge or experience with digital and integrated marketing campaigns.

• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and email marketing best practices.

• Familiarity with website content management systems. · Basic knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and marketing analytics.

• Ability to review and interpret basic marketing performance metrics. · Strong writing and editing skills. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders.

• Willingness to learn new marketing platforms, technologies, and processes. Preferred

• Experience working for an association, nonprofit, or membership organization, or similar environment.

• Experience with email marketing or marketing automation platforms.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms and audience segmentation.

• Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools and workflow automation

Educational Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• One to three years of professional experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, or a related field.
