Associate Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support payment processing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with some exposure to digital payment platforms, or financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with transaction monitoring, payment investigations, reconciliation, and customer support activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and service-level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day processing of payment transactions.
• Review and investigate payment exceptions, failed transactions, and customer inquiries.
• Monitor transaction activity and escalate potential fraud or compliance concerns.
• Assist with payment reconciliations and reporting activities.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and case resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Support, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
• Ensure adherence to established operational procedures and service-level expectations.
• Provide timely updates on payment-related issues and resolutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in payments, banking operations, financial services, customer support, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
