Metric Geo is partnering with a well-established heavy civil contractor in Southwest Missouri to recruit an experienced DOT Project Manager to join their growing team.

This is an opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background in DOT, highway, roadway, bridge, earthwork, or other heavy civil construction to take ownership of major projects and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage DOT/heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion
• Take ownership of cost, schedule, quality, and profitability
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Review contracts, plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Work closely with Superintendents, estimators, subcontractors, and field teams
• Manage relationships with DOT representatives, owners, engineers, and subcontractors
• Monitor project financials, forecasting, billing, and gross margins
• Identify and manage project risks, changes, and claims
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior leadership
• Assist with estimating, bidding, and preconstruction activities when required

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy xhyhwjd civil construction
• Strong DOT/highway/roadway experience
• State DOT experience preferred
• Background in earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, bridges, or transportation infrastructure
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, and project financials
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• MoDOT experience is highly desirable
