You will work within the Corporate/ESOP Accounting team to ensure that their tasks are performed timely, efficiently and accurately. You will provide timely and relevant feedback to the Senior Accountant on challenges observed with Construction accounting, Fee Income, GL Coding, and Bank Reconciliations.Your Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Daily review of General Ledger accounts (Operating Statement and Balance Sheet) to ensure the accuracy of posted activity, communicating needed reclasses to National Senior Accountant and NSO ControllerDaily reconciliation of disbursement accounts including resolution of any reconciling itemsDaily review of intercompany balances, preparation of transfers to clear balancesDaily booking of all cash entriesPrepare entries for monthly allocation of national costsPrepare JE to record income/funding requests and maintain associated tracking and reconciliationPrepare required quarterly reporting for submission to National Senior Accountant and NSO ControllerCoordinate and assist with annual financial statement auditCoordinate general ledger coding with the budget and prepare reclass entries as neededIdentify and communicate process improvements for efficiency and better service to on-site teamsOther tasks as may be identified in the future or assigned as ad-hoc projectsQualificationsWhat You Need for Success:Ability to work more hours at peak times such as month, quarter and year-endBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredStrong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, look ups) requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersStrong attention to detail requiredYardi experience preferredExperience in Property Management industry preferredWork environment is dynamic - adaptability and flexibility are needed for successMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer serviceAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesMinimum two years of accounting experience desiredAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as well as sit for long periods of timeMust be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephoneCompensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Annually
