Manufacturing Plant Technician

Green Bay Plant – Plant Technician Job Description You will operate high‑speed converting and packing equipment, control processes from a computer terminal, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and maintain automated manufacturing systems. You will work on a team responsible for keeping production flowing, meeting performance goals, and maintaining the high quality that consumers expect. Responsibilities Operate and maintain automated production equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning. Maintain accurate production records and data. Operate material‑handling equipment such as clamp trucks, forklifts, and hand trucks. Apply technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills to resolve business‑related problems. Participate in mentorship, coaching, and training programs. Adhere to safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Physical Requirements Use basic hand and power tools. Lift up to 50 pounds while bending, stooping, and moving on stairs, ladders, and platforms. Enter confined spaces and stand on concrete floors for extended periods. Operate in hot/cold environments and perform repetitive tasks. Work Schedule Operate on a 24/7 rotating 12‑hour shift schedule, including weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required. Shift length and rotation may change based on production needs. Qualifications 18 years of age or older. Minimum high‑school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Willingness to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes). Willingness to work rotating shifts 24/7. Able to work 12‑hour shifts with minimal sedentary time. Fine dexterity to cut and use hand tools. Ability to lift 45 pounds to at least 5 feet 6 inches, 10–20 times in a shift. Horizontal reach ability of 3 feet from a standing position. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb steps, twist, and turn. Ability to step on and off short platforms without handrails. Comply with OSHA safety regulations using hearing and eye protection, bump caps, and steel‑toed shoes. Compensation and Benefits Starting pay: $26.94 per hour with potential to reach $34.91 per hour in the first year. Compensation includes salary, potential bonus, and benefits.
