Role: Build the capital-markets function that will finance Gaia's next stage of growth. About Gaia Gaia Eco Developments is building a closed-loop infrastructure platform that brings together resilient power, water, compute, technology, and community-facing development. The model is designed to make large-scale infrastructure more resilient, more integrated, and easier for communities to support. Gaia controls patents, proprietary technology, and trade secrets across energy, water, and its operating layer, along with consumer-facing intellectual property and brand infrastructure. The next inflection point is capitalization and scale. About the role Gaia is seeking a Head of Capital Markets to build and lead its capital-markets function. This is an executive, hands-on origination role, not an investor-relations support position. You will shape how Gaia capitalizes the parent company, its developments, and future project vehicles across equity, debt, strategic capital, family offices, institutional capital, and other financing channels. You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team and have direct visibility to the Board. Why this role matters The role will influence how the platform is financed, which capital partners participate, how the investment thesis is positioned, and how the capital-markets function operates as Gaia scales. The mandate is to establish a durable capital-markets capability that can support Gaia's long-term development platform. What you'll do Develop and continuously refine the capital strategy for Gaia's parent company, developments, and future project vehicles. Translate Gaia's integrated platform into a clear, credible investor narrative and investment thesis. Build, qualify, and manage a high-quality pipeline across relevant equity, debt, strategic, family-office, institutional, private-credit, bank, and specialty-lender channels. Personally originate investor and lender relationships and lead engagement from the first conversation through diligence, negotiation, and funding. Work with the CEO and leadership team to structure and negotiate financings aligned with Gaia's platform and development priorities. Establish disciplined processes for relationship management, investor attribution, source credit, and transaction follow-through. Build a repeatable capital-markets operating model that can scale with Gaia and future project vehicles. What we're looking for A demonstrated record of personally originating and closing meaningful private-market capital. Candidates should be able to explain where the investor came from, their individual role, the funded commitment, the obstacles encountered, and how they moved the relationship from first conversation to close. Meaningful access to one or more relevant capital communities, including family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors, institutional capital, real estate and infrastructure investors, strategic capital, private credit, banks, or specialty lenders. Strong command of capital stacks, investor decision-making, diligence, and financing structures across equity and debt. The ability to turn a complex, integrated infrastructure platform into a clear and credible investment thesis. A hands-on, builder mindset: you want to create and own the function, personally develop relationships, and stay with each financing process through funding. Comfort with the risk and opportunity of joining a pre-funding company before cash salary begins. Preferred qualifications Experience financing real estate, infrastructure, complex development platforms, or other asset-intensive businesses. Experience across more than one relevant capital channel, including both equity and debt. Experience building repeatable capital-markets processes in an early-stage or pre-institutional environment. A bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, real estate, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline, including an MBA. Current or previously held FINRA registrations relevant to investment banking or private securities offerings, such as Series 79 and/or Series 82, with Series 7 and applicable state-law registrations where appropriate; and the ability to obtain and maintain any registrations required for assigned capital-raising activities through a registered broker-dealer. Team and collaboration context This role owns Gaia's capital-markets function and works directly with the CEO and leadership team, with direct visibility to the Board. The position also includes a defined path to Board participation as Gaia becomes funded and institutionalized. Stage and economic structure Gaia is currently pre-funding. Cash salary cannot begin on Day One. The full economic structure of the role is agreed before the candidate begins and is designed around the following components: Origination economics. You will participate economically in qualified equity and debt capital that you personally originate and successfully close. These economics are paid as qualifying capital funds rather than waiting for the full financing program to be completed. Transaction-based compensation is paid through a registered broker-dealer; Gaia has existing infrastructure available and is also open to a relationship you already maintain. Parent-level equity. You will receive equity in Gaia General Partners, Inc., Gaia's parent and platform company, as part of the company's initial executive equity allocation and on the same footing as the rest of the leadership team. This is platform-level rather than project-level participation. Vesting begins when you sign on with Gaia, not when financing closes or cash salary begins. Full-time executive package. Base salary, benefits, expense support, annual performance incentives, equity, and other executive terms will be agreed in advance. Cash compensation begins once Gaia has sufficient financing to support executive payroll, at the same time and on the same basis as the rest of the executive team. Investor attribution. Relationships you originate or materially develop will be documented and attributed to you, with defined source credit and appropriate tail protection. This role is remote-friendly, with travel as reasonably required for investor meetings, diligence, and site visits to the Rolla campus. Powered by Nature.
