Position Overview Gentle Force Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team. This full-time remote position requires a compassionate professional with an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure to provide meaningful therapy services to clients navigating mental health and co-occurring disorders. Work Environment This position is completely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while interfacing with clients primarily through virtual platforms. You will have access to state-of-the-art electronic health record systems that facilitate streamlined communication and documentation. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group therapy sessions that address the specific needs outlined in clients' personalized treatment plans, employing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based interventions. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs, identifying underlying issues while developing individualized treatment strategies tailored to each client's strengths and challenges. Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive treatment for each client. Engage with clients' family members, educational institutions, and relevant community resources to support holistic treatment approaches, ensuring that clients receive the necessary support systems outside therapy sessions. Aid clients in establishing and achieving meaningful treatment goals, measuring progress regularly and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes. Provide case management services that include referrals to external support systems and community resources, encompassing educational programs, support groups, and crisis intervention teams. Maintain precise and organized documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and assessments to uphold compliance with all ethical and legal standards, ensuring client confidentiality at all times. Stay informed of current research, trends, and best practices in mental health therapy to ensure services are effective and evidence-based, contributing to better client outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Many clients may be dealing with co-occurring disorders, requiring a comprehensive approach to treatment. We prioritize creating a culturally sensitive and welcoming atmosphere where clients feel safe and heard. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. Current licensure in Pennsylvania as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, with a demonstrated understanding of state regulations regarding mental health practice. 2-4 years of clinical experience in providing mental health counseling, ideally with experience in a community health clinic or similar setting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building rapport and trust with clients and families. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple case files and treatment plans efficiently. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Preferred Experience Experience implementing evidence-based interventions and treatment modalities that have been effective in addressing complex mental health issues. Familiarity with community resources and support systems available in the Reading, Pennsylvania area. Availability to accommodate flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends when necessary to meet clients' needs. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 based on experience and qualifications.
