Position Overview Verve Psychosocial Support Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our remote team. Work Environment This position offers the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere, allowing you to create a conducive home office environment. You will be integrated into a community health clinic model, working closely with a dedicated team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, who ensure comprehensive client care. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility allowed based on client needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed clinical assessments, using a variety of evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and others, adapting these techniques to each client’s needs. Ensure accurate and secure record-keeping in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations, facilitating seamless coordination of care. Engage in regular consultations with interdisciplinary teams to optimize client support strategies and share best practices. Participate actively in peer review meetings to discuss cases, provide support, and enhance the overall quality of client care. Support families by educating them about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering a supportive network around the client. Stay informed about the latest research developments in mental health to incorporate new techniques and insights into practice. Patient Population / Client Focus The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds, each facing distinct challenges. Our focus includes individuals grappling with emotional distress, trauma, and various mental health disorders. You will work closely with clients to assess their mental health needs, fostering an environment of trust and rapport to facilitate open dialogue and effective treatment. Qualifications Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Must hold an active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Pennsylvania. Demonstrable experience in applying solution-based psychotherapy interventions with a commitment to individualized care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective client engagement. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are necessary to address complex client needs. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, valuing shared success. Preferred Experience Previous experience working within a community health setting or with a diverse client population enhances your application. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus, ensuring efficient management of patient information. Engagement in continuous professional development, including attending workshops and obtaining certifications, demonstrates commitment to best practices in mental health.
