Gynecologic Oncology Travel Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Spokane, WA

Join a collaborative outpatient gynecologic oncology clinic in Spokane, Washington, as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) providing specialized oncology nursing care, surgical support, and telephone triage for adult patients. This on-site travel nursing opportunity is ideal for a clinically confident RN with experience in gynecologic oncology, oncology, gynecology, surgery, PACU, SICU, postoperative care, or telephone triage. Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,280–$2,400
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 15, 2027
• Location: Spokane, Washington
• Healthcare Setting: On-site outpatient gynecologic oncology clinic
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Shifts: Five 8-hour day shifts per week; 40 hours per week
• Weekends: Not required
• Call: Not required
• Patient Population: Adults with gynecologic oncology and complex surgical diagnoses
• Clinical Volume: Approximately 30–40 clinic patients per day, with approximately 3–6 nurse visits daily

Gynecologic Oncology RN Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Active Washington RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS certification
• Recent nursing experience in gynecologic oncology, oncology, operating room, PACU, SICU, postoperative care, surgical telephone triage, or OB/GYN
• Strong telephone triage and electronic-message triage skills
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience is not required
• Applicants whose experience has been exclusively in labor and delivery or obstetrics may not be a strong match for this outpatient oncology RN role
• Experience with voiding trials and central-line or port flushes is a plus

Oncology Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide telephone and electronic-message triage for medication reactions, concerning postoperative symptoms, potential recurrence, pain, bleeding, and other patient concerns
• Complete preoperative and postoperative patient education and nursing assessments
• Support patients throughout their treatment plans and promote safe progression through care
• Assess adult patients with cervical, ovarian, uterine, and peritoneal cancers, pelvic masses, adnexal cysts, and related gynecologic conditions
• Perform nursing assessments, obtain vital signs, collect health histories, review medications, assess symptoms, and conduct follow-up calls
• Coordinate referrals, pharmacy requests, prescription refill communications, and follow-up care
• Assist with gynecologic procedures and provide patient education related to surgical recovery and ongoing care
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team in a high-needs clinical environment
• This position does not include chemotherapy administration or infusion responsibilities
