Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Fargo, ND. This position involves providing nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit within a busy, level 1 trauma center. The role includes performing thorough assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Job Details Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA); RN or compact state license. Education Requirements: Active RN license; at least 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting. Location Requirements: Must be willing to float to all units/locations within Fargo. Years of Experience: 2 years of recent nursing experience preferred; no minimum specified, but 1 year required. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday. The schedule may alternate between days and nights based on unit needs, with opportunities for self-scheduling. Responsibilities include providing nursing care on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit, performing head-to-toe and focused assessments, administering medications, utilizing equipment such as EPIC electronic medical records, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and more. Training includes 8 hours classroom training followed by 24 hours of unit training. Additional information: Must have experience with EPIC, demonstrate thorough attention to detail, and effectively communicate with team members and patients. Candidates must include in their submission if they have previously worked for the organization, with an end date at least 6 months prior to the current application date.
