Laboratory Technician

The Laboratory Tech - Sample Management is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by managing the receipt, tracking, storage, movement, and documentation of samples and materials. This role ensures compliance with established procedures, maintains accurate records, supports inventory management, and collaborates with laboratory teams to facilitate efficient workflows while adhering to quality and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Receive, log, label, track, store, transport, and manage samples and laboratory materials. Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Coordinate sample movement and communicate status updates to laboratory personnel. Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Assist with investigations, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and process improvements as needed. Support the return, storage, or disposal of laboratory materials. Provide guidance and training on sample handling procedures and documentation requirements. Respond to operational needs, including environmental monitoring or on-call responsibilities when required. Perform assigned tasks safely, accurately, and within established timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support laboratory operations and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is preferred. 2+ years of experience in laboratory support, sample management, inventory control, or a related operational environment. Experience working in regulated environments is preferred. Required Skills: Knowledge of inventory management and sample tracking processes. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
