School-Based Sign Language Interpreter

Location: San Antonio, TX
Employment Type: Full-time, 37.5
School Year: 8/31/26 - 5/26/27
Caseload: Pre k - 8, details discussed in an interview
Pay: $35-$40/hour, dependent upon experience and qualifications
Guaranteed hours, competitive hourly pay, and a weekly direct deposit!

Soliant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. If you are passionate about facilitating communication and making a difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments, we encourage you to apply!

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• MUST have Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Certification (RID) or Texas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: BEI I or II under the previous certification system or Basic under the current certification system.
• Experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
• Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a school setting
• Assist in classroom instruction and activities by interpreting spoken language into sign
language
• Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and
activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective
communication
• Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with hearing
