Operations Supervisor 3:00pm

Job Summary Responsible for coordinating and managing multiple warehouse functions including receiving, warehousing, and shipping. This position has overall warehouse operations responsibility during the absence of the Warehouse Manager and has the ability to supervise Distribution Supervisors. Shift Monday - Friday, 3:30pm start time. Compensation The anticipated salary is up to $80,000, based on experience. Core Responsibilities Analyze and resolve work problems or assist teammates in solving work problems. Review bills of lading of incoming merchandise and customer orders with teammates to plan work activities. Prepare truck driver delivery schedules in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager and Lead Driver. Assign teammates to specific duties such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise or assembling customer orders for delivery. Establish work schedules and ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented, jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly. Supervise Leads, warehouse teammates and other supervisors as appropriate to ensure all warehouse functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Screen and hire warehouse teammates; ensure teammates receive appropriate training for their job function, including the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment and warehouse machinery. Interpret company policies to teammates and enforce safety regulations; initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Conduct performance reviews and recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary actions. Recommend measures to improve quality and suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency. Ensure total adherence to all Federal statutes regarding warehouse operations, including DEA and OSHA regulations. Work with non‑warehouse departments such as Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Sales, and Customer Service to coordinate warehouse activities. Use Windows-based programs and retrieve and utilize available reports related to essential job activities. Qualifications General knowledge of basic topics such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing. High school diploma required; four‑year college degree preferred. Successful completion of all company warehouse training modules resulting in certification. Certified on all warehouse machinery. At least three years of operation and maintenance experience required; for external hires at least one year of supervisory experience and at least two years of warehouse experience preferred.
