Instrument Technical Sales Specialist - Midwest

Waters seeks an Instrument Technical Sales Specialist for the Midwest region to drive revenue growth by providing technical leadership throughout complex sales cycles. The role combines scientific expertise with consultative selling, partnering with account managers to influence purchasing decisions and position Waters technologies as the preferred solution for analytical laboratories.

Responsibilities

Lead consultative discovery conversations to uncover customer scientific and operational needs
Deliver technical demonstrations connecting analytical instruments to customer business objectives
Guide customers through technical evaluations and instrument selection processes
Partner with account managers to develop and execute territory growth strategies
Serve as trusted advisor to scientific, technical, and operational stakeholders

Requirements

Deep scientific knowledge and technical credibility in life sciences or analytical chemistry
Experience in consultative selling or technical sales in regulated laboratory environments
Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and navigate complex, multi-stage buying processes
Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into customer business value
Proven track record building customer relationships and driving commercial outcomes
