Job Summary and Qualifications Mammography Technician / Mammographer Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. This is a PRN/per diem/as-needed role. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. As a Mammographer, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies What qualifications you will need: Graduate of a 24-month program at an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and/or an Associate Degree Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as Mammography Technician Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Current ARRT certification in mammography: ARRT (M) Vocational/technical education Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
