Research Associate

This role involves conducting process research and development for enzymatic ligation and downstream processing of oligonucleotides, with focus on scaling laboratory methods to production environments. The Research Associate will execute experiments, optimize chemical reactions, maintain documentation per cGMP standards, and collaborate across functional teams. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field plus two years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process R&D for enzymatic ligation and downstream oligonucleotide processing at lab scale
• Execute experiments on ligation methods, separation, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotide components
• Apply chemistry knowledge to optimize chemical reactions and process methods
• Maintain experimental records and documentation in compliance with SOPs and cGMP requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across all stages of oligonucleotide research and development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related science
• Two years of post-graduation pharmaceutical industry experience
• Knowledge of process chemistry and development
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
• Master's degree preferred
• Experience with enzymatic DNA/RNA manipulation and biocatalysis

Compensation: $76,080.00 - $118,875.00/yr plus bonus, stock and benefits eligibility
