Hatch is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern . Reporting to the Project Delivery Group , you will support offices globally working from our Tampa, FL office location. Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or chemical engineering with an interest in controls or computer science Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale As The Successful Candidate, You Will Assist Electrical Engineers in preparing engineering calculations such as load flow analysis and short circuit analysis Prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement and construction contracts and write reports for power system studies such as arc flash analysis, protective device coordination, and transient stability studies Acquire knowledge in power distribution systems, instrumentation and controls, switchgear, stand-by power systems, load and fault current calculations, power flow and short circuit analysis, SCADA and telemetry, lighting systems, and NEC code compliance Gain valuable on-site practical experience You Bring To The Role Understanding of inter-disciplinary requirements for the tasks at hand Strong interpersonal and communication skills Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams Commitment to achieving engineering excellence Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems A desire to learn and continually develop Strong personal commitment to safety Previous co-op or internship experience is an asset Competencies (knowledge, Skill, Attributes) Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges Adapts and embraces change Requirements For All Sectors To live our manifesto.
