NURSE SURVEYOR SUPERVISOR II

Job Title District Administrator – Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II Salary $8,660.00 – $10,758.00 per month (minimum salary based on classification). New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Job Overview This position supports the California Department of Public Health’s mission by overseeing the review, evaluation, inspection, and certification of health facilities and agencies for compliance with state and federal laws. The Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II performs program activities in a specific region, ensuring department and program mandates, policies, and procedures are implemented consistently and appropriately. The incumbent reports to the Nurse Surveyor Manager. Responsibilities Conduct inspections and audits of health facilities and agencies. Prepare clear and concise written reports of findings. Evaluate facilities for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Investigate complex complaints and identify deficiencies in care. Supervise, train, and provide consulting to personnel who perform onsite evaluations. Provide administrative oversight, including priority setting, quality control review, and problem resolution to improve program functioning. Travel and Telework Up to 10% travel may be required. A hybrid telework schedule may be available in accordance with CDPH’s Telework Policy and Procedures. Telework is allowed only for California residents; the applicant must maintain primary residency in California prior to appointment. Qualifications Meet the minimum qualifications as specified in the class specification for Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II. Experience in health facility regulation, inspection, or related public health functions is required. Benefits Benefit information can be found on the CalHR website and the CalPERS website.
