NURSE SURVEYOR SUPERVISOR I

About the Position Salary: $8,240.00 - $10,246.00 per month. New‑to‑State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable. Work Location: Kern County, California. Telework: Hybrid schedule may be available in accordance with the CDPH Telework Policy and Procedures. Job Type: Permanent, Full Time. Responsibilities: Provide first‑level supervision to Nurse Surveyors responsible for surveying healthcare facilities and enforcing licensing and certification standards in accordance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations. Review all reports, surveys, and correspondence prepared by field staff and State Fire Marshalls. Communicate with the public and health‐facility operators/administrators regarding policy, procedures, and regulatory interpretations. Collaborate with program personnel to ensure quality work and performance, achieve established goals and objectives, and fulfill the mission of the Department. Manage up to 25% travel as required. Work under the direction of the Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II (NSS II). Minimum Requirements: Minimum qualifications are listed in the Class Specification for the Nurse Surveyor Supervisor I classification.
