Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.In this role, you will:Primary responsibilities include conducting the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base. Critical to the role will be communicating research findings to both internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue. The Executive Director - Large Cap Internet will build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others.The Executive Director - Large Cap Internet will:Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Internet sector and a strong understanding of the companies within the sectorConduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data setsCreate and update financial models and databasesAuthor, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themesAttend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contactsCommunicate research conclusions to internal and external constituentsCollaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research contentStrong, clear and concise written and oral communication skillsExercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:A BS/BA or higherDirect experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - InternetAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAbility to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modelingAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skillsStrong writing skills and attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of financial statement analysisKnowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industryKnowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet applicationStrong, clear and concise written and oral communication skillJob Expectations:Up to 10% travelObtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86 and 87 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.
