Role Description The Dean of Students is a full-time, on-site role located at Sto-Rox Junior/Senior High School in McKees Rocks, PA. The Dean of Students oversees student conduct, implements behavior expectations, and leads interventions that promote a positive school climate. This role includes meeting with students and families to address behavioral or academic concerns, providing counseling support, and connecting students with appropriate resources. The Dean collaborates with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop programs that support student leadership, engagement, and well-being. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring school safety, responding to incidents, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting extracurricular and school-wide activities. Qualifications Experience managing Student Conduct and promoting a positive school climate through clear expectations and restorative practices. Skills in Student Counseling and support, including the ability to build trust, listen actively, and refer students to appropriate services. Background in Residence Life or comparable student support programs, with familiarity in coordinating student activities and services. Demonstrated Student Leadership development skills, including organizing leadership opportunities and mentoring student leaders. Proven Educational Leadership abilities, such as collaborating with staff, implementing school-wide initiatives, and using data to inform decisions. Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred. Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills with students, families, and colleagues. Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate records in a school setting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
