The problems are complex, the data is massive, and the results of your work are visible in how we serve customers every day.You'll thrive here if you-Are genuinely curious about how things work — you'd rather tour a fulfillment center than read a slide deck about one-Take pride in getting the details right and producing work you'd put your name on-See your role as a thought partner to the business, not a reporting function that operates at arm's length-Want your analysis to drive real action — programs launched, costs reduced, customer experience improved-View AI and automation as tools to ask better questions, not just get faster answers-Are energized by seeing your work show up in the metrics, because you helped drive the program that moved themKey job responsibilities- Dive Deep into processes and cost drivers to uncover efficiency opportunities.- Collaborate with business partners to substantiate new strategies through data analysis.- Think critically while developing cost savings calculation methodologies.- Think Big to maximize savings opportunities.- Draft and present white papers, taking an idea from inception to a full-fledged project.- Design metrics and business review documents to guide the operations team through execution.- Apply data-driven presentation skills with an ability to simplify complex problems.Basic qualifications- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experiencePreferred qualification - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
