Sr. Digital Development Engineer

Sr. Digital Development Engineer – Woonsocket, RI Overview Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, seeks a senior engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms that support digital strategies and solutions. The role focuses on building robust, high‑performance software to support prescription, claims, and related healthcare activities, and involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions, create and maintain technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write high‑quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing and bug fixes. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings, CI/CD processes, and code reviews. Support applications, systems, and databases that process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on development, technical requirements, project deliverables, quality assurance, and best practices. Mentor junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent). At least 5 years of experience in a related occupation. At least 5 years of experience with each of: XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; Oracle, Teradata, or DB2; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; requirement gathering and analysis. Experience defining service interfaces and information models in Rational Software Architect. Experience developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating on software development solutions. Experience in software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $147,680.00 to $203,940.00 per year. Compensation may include additional bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity award program components.
