Sr. Software Development Engineer

Position Summary Sr. Software Development Engineer in Woonsocket, RI. The role designs and develops software applications and platforms to support digital strategies and solutions within CVS Health’s health ecosystem. Telecommuting is available and multiple positions are open. Responsibilities Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions, design architecture, and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high‑quality code and perform unit and automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing, and fix bugs. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and CI/CD processes. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, or related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Mentor junior team members. Requirements Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in each of the following skill areas: SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript; Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, or MySQL; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; Power BI, Tableau, GitHub, AWS/Azure Cloud Services, RESTful APIs, or Postman. Experience contributing to large‑scale application development, data science, or data analytics projects. Experience writing Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes and designing data models for analytical and reporting use cases. Experience designing data architectures, including data pipelines, distributed computing engines, and machine learning infrastructure. Pay Range $109,512.00–$203,940.00 per year, subject to a variety of factors including experience, education, and geography. The position may also include a bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program and an equity award target.
