Retail Manager in TrainingGreat opportunity to learn our business and prepare yourself to move into our management team, within 6 to 12 months, while earning a wage consistent with what our assistant managers make that also includes great benefits.Batteries Plus - Retail Sales Management Career OpportunitiesWe are looking for motivated and competitive individuals who enjoy being a part of as well as building teams and growing a business.For this position, we offer a highly competitive compensation package that consists of a base, a monthly bonus, and individual performance incentives with a minimum guarantee of $23.50 - $27.00/hour for 6 months, so you have the time needed to learn our business during your training (however, with our incentivized compensation program, you can earn up to the equivalent of $27/hour during this time guarantee period). You will also earn, on average, 5 hours per week of overtime.The gross pay range of $55,000 to $80,000 is the current actual range of total compensation for our Assistants to our Store Managers.Who We Are and What We DoAt Batteries Plus, it's all about solving problems for members of our community. We regularly hear "This is my favorite store".As a Batteries Plus Manager in Training, you will be responsible for learning all the products, services, sales processes, and operational needs of the business. The goal is for you to quickly become an asset to the branch manager and the rest of the team. You'll be in an energetic store environment while you learn the necessary skills. A "Yes, we can help you with that" and smile can go a long way, and we believe our sales associates have the power to be the best moment in each customer's day. Experience must include commercial (outside) salesStrong oral and written communication skillsAble to effectively manage confrontational situations in a controlled and courteous mannerAbility to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlinesStrong technical aptitude and a basic understanding of electronics. Must have the ability to accurately read gauges and work with handsMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driving recordMust be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including peak seasons and special events. This includes the ability to work at multiple store locations, as neededPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:This position requires the associate to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and lift more than 50 pounds.The position requires the associate to regularly use electrical cables, simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, spot welders, automotive and electronic testing equipment, as well as regular use of a phone, fax, computer, and printer/copier.While performing the responsibilities of this position, the associate will occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and the risk of electrical shock.Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes goggles, gloves, and steel-toed shoes.Reasonable accommodations, if necessary and/or as required by law, will be made available.A Bit About Us:Batteries Plus is the nation's largest and fastest-growing battery, light bulb, phone repair, and key fob replacement franchise with a nationwide network of over 720 stores.
