Key responsibilities include: Monitoring global whey market trends and translating insights into sourcing, trading, and risk management strategies Building and managing strategic supplier partnerships within the dairy network Leading commercial contract negotiations and actively managing exposure to market volatility Maximizing value through portfolio management, pricing discipline, and market optimization Driving robust production planning processes to optimize manufacturing capacity Managing transportation activities to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant logistics Ensuring strong cross-functional alignment with Operations, Sales, and S&OP teams Leading, coaching, and developing the Supply & Trading team to deliver high-quality execution What We Ask Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, sales, or supply chain management; experience in whey or dairy ingredients strongly preferred Strong negotiation and contract management expertise Deep understanding of dairy supply chains and market dynamics Proven analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage market risk Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Willingness to travel domestically and internationally At FrieslandCampina Ingredients, our Supply & Trading team plays a critical role in connecting dairy partners, manufacturing operations, and markets.
