Mental Health Practitioner

Salary: The average starting salary will be in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year. Candidates with LCSW or LCPC may be considered for a salary up to $77,000 . Location: North Center: 3249 N Central Ave, Chicago, IL 60634 Essential Job Functions Performs comprehensive in‑depth assessments for a variety of program services and provides intake as assigned. Provides a full range of case management, counseling, advocacy, educational, and related services. Learns and utilizes agency and community resources. Assesses community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems. Recommends financial assistance for clients. Provides group services as indicated by program need. May be responsible for meeting contractual requirements such as 24‑hour coverage. Represents and interprets agency programs in the community. May serve on regional or agency‑wide committees. Meets agency expectations for quantity of direct service. Complies with agency record‑keeping expectations. Works effectively with diverse staff and service population. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requires mobility to work with a community‑based caseload. Ability to maintain assigned community and home‑based services. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling from an accredited college or university (required). Must have applied to take the LSW or LPC examination (required). 40‑hour Domestic Violence Training (preferred). Additional Requirements Must satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and background checks. Transportation/Travel Requirements Driving for work required with transportation of clients in a personally owned vehicle. Travel between sites not required. Physical Demands Employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. Requires close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
