Registered Nurse - Mother Baby Unit

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby Unit. This unit consists of 34 private couplet rooms and is designed to care for both mothers and their newborns after delivery. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate team player with experience in maternal and newborn care.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns.
Monitor patient conditions and perform assessments.
Administer medications and provide post-delivery support, including care for patients on Magnesium Sulfate.
Assist with circumcisions and other typical procedures in the unit.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
BLS certification required.
Maternal and newborn nursing experience required.
STABLE certification preferred.
Travel experience is a plus.
