Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across all types of medical surgical cases, including overflow of post-operative surgical hip and knee patients
• Manage a patient ratio of 4–5:1 on a 24-bed unit
• Administer and monitor drip medications, including heparin
• Utilize remote telemetry tech unit monitoring as part of patient oversight
• Float across multiple campuses as assigned
• Document all care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license required at time of submission
• BLS certification from AHA (American Heart Association) or ARC (American Red Cross) required
• Minimum 24 months of current Med Surg or Med Surg Telemetry experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No blocked shifts — full availability required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (based on driver's license)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Willingness and ability to extend beyond the initial 13-week contract is strongly preferred
• Experience with post-operative surgical hip and knee patient populations
