The position will offer the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects. You will perform a variety of tasks that will require the application of sound principles and best practices.Your Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projectsPerform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standardsPlan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projectsTrain junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modelingYour Capabilities and CredentialsProficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design softwareProficient in Microsoft (MS) Office SuiteStrong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PSE plan productionAbility to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovationAbility to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agenciesAbility to participate and collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimumTX PE licenseMinimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experienceTxDOT Precertification preferredThis description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
