Title
PACU Registered Nurse - Nursing

Schedule
- Five 8-hour shifts (varying shifts)
- Typical shift examples: 12:00-20:30; some 12:00-20:00 or 13:00-21:00
- No weekends, no call, no holidays

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
- Valid RN license in hand at the time of submission
- Certifications: ACLS required, BLS also noted
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Clinical skills: Dysrhythmia recognition/management, Phase I PACU skills, acute care experience in specialty areas listed

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PACU setting.
- Monitor and assess patients' recovery after surgery, identifying any potential complications.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff in developing and implementing patient care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Submission/fingerprint timeline: Candidate fingerprinting must be completed urgently; Tuesday prior to start is a hard deadline.
- RTO required with submission and must be built into contract.
- Vaccines: Flu required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- Orientation: 40 hours.
