Requirements:

- License: Valid state or compact RN license

- Certifications: BLS and ACLS

- Experience: 2 years of cardiac/CVICU experience preferred

- EMR: Epic experience required

- Skills: Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, management of mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella, VADs), ECMO and CRRT experience, post-operative cardiac care, IV starts and central/PICC/arterial line care, and monitoring of procedural/conscious sedation.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide high-acuity nursing care to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic ICU patients.

- Monitor and assess patient conditions using hemodynamic monitoring techniques.

- Manage ventilators and assist with care for respiratory failure patients.

- Administer and manage mechanical circulatory support and perform ECMO and CRRT when required.

- Carry out post-operative care including CABG, TAVR, and other cardiac procedures.

- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

- Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

- Orientation: 36 hours

- References: Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor/manager

- RTO: Required with submission

- Submission: Current employees ineligible for traveler roles; former employees eligible after 6 months away.
