Job Description
TITLE
PreOp / PACU RN - Adult Cardiac/Peripheral Vascular Procedures

SCHEDULE
Shift: Day - primary 3x12s (8:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.) or 4x10s (10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.)
Call: Included; weekend call rotation approximately every 3rd-4th weekend

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required: Pre-op / Post-op experience
- Required: Epic charting experience
- Preferred: PACU experience, Level I trauma experience, prior charge RN experience
- Required certification: BLS
- Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Phase I PACU care and conduct pre-op assessment and education.
- Monitor hemodynamics, including arterial lines, CVP, and pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz).
- Perform cardiac monitoring and recognize dysrhythmias and interpret 12-lead ECGs.
- Care for vascular surgery/post-op patients with a focus on bleeding risk and graft monitoring.
- Administer IV vasopressors, blood products, and manage central/PICC lines.
- Conduct ABG interpretation, airway assessment, and pain management.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
- RN must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission
- Credentialing urgency: Strict fingerprinting/credentialing timeline
- Recent time off (RTO) required with submission
