Special Education Teacher – Charlotte, MI
Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Charlotte, MI
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 7:45 AM–3:30 PM
Caseload: 5 students, capped at 6
Position Overview
We are seeking a Special Education Teacher with an ASD certification to support students.
Caseload & Student Population
Upper elementary students
Current caseload of 5 students
Caseload capped at 6 students
Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students
Develop and implement appropriate instructional strategies and interventions
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Collaborate with school staff and related service providers
Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Requirements
Valid Michigan Special Education certification
ASD certification required
Experience working with upper elementary students preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
