Job Title:

• Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist)

Location:

• Hospital setting (fixed unit and/or mobile unit in IPD/OR/ER)

Job Summary:

Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Radiographer performs radiologic procedures to evaluate pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Responsibilities include utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices. The role involves patient preparation, equipment setup, and adherence to department protocols to ensure optimal patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must maintain required hours of continued education.
• Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of hire).
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching/educating new hires and students.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems for imaging and study indexing.

Additional Information:

• Work may involve exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients.
• Occasionally requires lifting/moving equipment or patients exceeding 10 lbs.
• Must demonstrate core customer service values, including communication, teamwork, respect, and sensitivity.
• Must be self-directed, flexible, and committed to the team concept.
