While we might not be the largest company in our industry, we believe we can have the biggest impact because: Together We Have the Power to Win.About The Opportunity:DC Material Handler working schedule is for Shift 985: Monday & Tuesday 3:30pm-11:30pm, Saturday & Sunday 6:00am-6:00pmThe hourly wage for this position is $27.50 plus shift premiumsCome join our Fostoria, OH facility where we manufacture products such as A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent!Role Summary:To load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers, build pick pallets.Duties And Responsibilities:Operates sit down, stand up and pallet riders proficiently.Loads and unloads trailers and containers accurately and to specification.Builds pick pallets to pick list.Maintains necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.Performs daily preventive maintenance inspections.Maintains a clean department by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.Works with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.Must be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fill the customer's orderOperate stretch wrapper to secure load on palletFamiliar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principlesWork any shift during the week as well as weekendsUse safe operating procedures and judgmentOperate forklift in a safe and timely manner.Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished productsLift 50 pounds consistentlyMinimum Education, Training, And Experience Requirements:Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED is requiredMinimum of six months of forklift experienceWMS experience is preferredWorking knowledge of material handling equipmentKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities:Work any shift during the week as well as weekendsUse safe operating procedures and judgment and Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished productsLift 50 pounds consistentlyFamiliar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principlesPhysical Requirements:Exposure To: Yes No Moving machinery X Chemical fumes X Hot surface / tools X Heat/Cold X Concrete surface X Slippery surface X Repetitive motion X Chemicals X Noise X Other: Dust particulates X X Fork truck batteries X Equipment Used: Step stool/ladder X Forklift/jack X Power hand tools X Computer X Power Machinery X Box cutter X Respirator X Hearing protection X Steel Toe shoes X Gloves X Major Physical Tasks: Forklift operation Driving a forklift to retrieve and move pallets Order picking Using vocollect system for a whole shift, lifting items weighing up to 44 lbs Walking around the facility Walking around the facility throughout the shift Repalletizing Repalletizing items for consolidation or to replace a broken pallet Activity Frequency: Lift/Carry: N O F C Movement: N O F C 10 lbs. or less X Bending X 11 – 20 lbs.
