Investor Reporting (Accountant III)

Mortgage Center Investor Reporting (Accountant III) Southfield, MI (Remote) Do you welcome challenges and finding solutions to unique situations? In the Investor Accountant role, You'll be: Reconciling GSE Custodial P&I and T&I accounts. Preparing reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts, including balancing, research, and timely resolution of reconciling items. Researching, resolving, and clearing GSE exceptions, including all hard and soft reject findings to resolution. Monitoring compliance with investor reporting and accounting, as well as generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Facilitating audit requests by gathering, validating, and providing documentation for GSE and other Investor Internal and External audits as needed. Monitoring P&I Custodial accounts to ensure accurate processing of monthly advances, recoupments, and Investor remittance. Reports payoffs, loan modifications, and corrections to GSEs accurately and timely. You'll have the opportunity to: Cross-train and learn more than a just one accounting function. Showcase your ingenuity to increase the quality and efficiency of accounting functions. Solve problems by using your analytical and organizational skills to predict and resolve issues. Collaborate with direct members of a team, as well as others within the organization. You'll have: At least three (3) years of experience in investor accounting. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience. Strong organizational skills aiding your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and deadline-driven environment. Excellent communication skills, professional verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups).
