Security Installation
Employment Solutions is seeking a skilled Security Installation & Service Technician to install, service, and maintain a variety of commercial and residential security systems. If you have experience with fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and low-voltage wiring, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Install, configure, test, and service security and alarm safety systems
- Install and troubleshoot CCTV/IP camera systems, intrusion alarms, fire alarm systems, and electronic access control systems
- Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling
- Program control panels and connected devices
- Diagnose and repair system issues while performing preventive maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Complete installation records, service reports, and other required documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and inspectors
- Respond to scheduled service calls and occasional emergency service requests
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical and fire codes
- Travel to customer locations to assist with troubleshooting and/or installation
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in the installation of fire and/or security systems; or
- Certification in Fire Alarm and Detection Equipment and two years in a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience with installation of security or fire alarm systems
- State/local certifications as required (e.g. manufacturer-specific certifications)
- Ability to use hand/power tools to install hardware
- Verifiable experience in the installation and programming of alarm, fire, CCTV, and IP related systems
- IP Camera System installation & programming experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively and persuasively
- Working knowledge of fire alarm codes, electrical codes, and ADA regulations
- Familiarity with major brands (Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, Silent Knight, Notifier, Lenel, HID, etc.)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 based upon experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8am-4:30pm
