Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs across a diverse population including geriatric, adult, pediatric, and OB patients
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions based on clinical findings
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient in a fast-paced emergency department setting
• Complete timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity within the electronic health record (MediTech)
• Operate department equipment including EKG, ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, and Medtronic devices
• May be pulled to provide 1:1 patient sitting as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or compact state
• Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• At least 2 years of emergency department experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MediTech EHR platform
• Familiarity with acute diagnostic and treatment protocols across a broad range of emergency presentations
• Experience working in a high-volume, pull-to-full emergency department environment
