divh2CNC Machinist Level I/h2pContract to long-term hire 1st Shift 630 AM Start Time Pay is $27-$33/hour/ph3Job Summary:/h3pThe CNC Machinist Level I position is responsible for reading blueprints and schematics, setting-up parts and shop equipment with assistance and continued training, and loading programs necessary to complete assigned machining tasks prior to operating Haas milling machines or Lathes. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a basic understanding of machine settings, adjustments, offsets and operation. Also, this position plays a critical role in performing high quality maintenance and repairs on components that meet stringent specifications for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)./ph3Core Responsibilities:/h3ulliReviews drawings, sketches, blueprints or schematics prior to production job commencement./liliWith assistance, conducts machine set-up prior to each production assignment and operates HAAS Milling Machines and HAAS Lathes using knowledge of working techniques, including adjusting machine controls to regulate feeds and speeds./liliScans production jobs in and out of Quantum Labor Scanning to ensure production-level accuracy./liliPerforms precision machining to produce components within tight tolerances and systematically monitors machine progress to prevent damage to customer parts./liliInspects finished parts with gauges and micrometers to ensure conformance with quality standards and specifications./liliResponsible for equipment maintenance, including lubrication and cleanliness to ensure continued optimal performance./liliAdheres to all safety regulations, maintains a safe work environment, and reports any irregularities timely./liliAdheres to production schedules and requirements and maintains accurate records of production output./liliPerform other duties as assigned. This position occasionally requires mandatory overtime, with little or no advance notice./li/ulh3Required Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliStrong knowledge of machine settings and operation, as well as familiarity with shop equipment such as grinders, chop saws, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, travel indicators, thread gauges and other measuring equipment./liliKnowledge of part setup and adjustment, as well as safe machine operation practices./liliKnowledge of CNC G-Codes and M Codes./liliStrong mechanical aptitude and the ability to produce precise work with tight tolerances./liliSolid analyzing and problem-solving skills, using logic and innovation to overcome obstacles during the machining process./liliFamiliarity with aerospace materials, and a good understanding of feeds and speeds pertaining to various materials./liliAttention to detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics./liliExcellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with good familiarity of machine shop hand tools./liliMust demonstrate comprehension of oral instructions and directives provided, as well as the ability to communicate information and ideas effectively to others./liliMust be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, in accordance with the eligibility requirements of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 145./liliAll maintenance and inspection-related positions are required to submit to preemployment and random DOT drug and alcohol testing, in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 120./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliMinimum 1 to 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role required, preferably in a machine shop setting./li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3ulliRequired to stand for prolonged lengths of time, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch./liliContinually utilize fingers and hands to manipulate equipment controls and make manual adjustments./liliRegularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently required to move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally will be required to move over 50 pounds with assistance./liliRegularly required to utilize close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception./liliRegular exposure to noise from machines, equipment, and tools./li/ul/div
