Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing nursing care to patients, either directly or indirectly, for a defined group of patients according to the organization's philosophy of patient care.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement patient care interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and discharge procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Rhode Island is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification is preferred.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is mandatory.
