Welcome guests with warmth and hospitality as a Host at Velocity Bar + Kitchen, where you'll be the first point of contact for our valued customers. As a Host, you will create a positive first impression by greeting guests, managing reservations, and seating them promptly. Your welcoming demeanor will contribute to our mission of providing delicious, fresh food and affordable family fun in a championing community environment. Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression.
- Manage reservations and waiting lists, ensuring efficient seating of guests.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service.
- Handle guest inquiries, providing information about the restaurant and menu options.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area.
Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 68 hours).
- Lift and carry up to 20 lbs (e.g., menus, high chairs, booster seats).
- Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally.
- Use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones.
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment.
- Ability to remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
