MRI Technologist (Full-Time) Nemours Children's Health is seeking an MRI Technologist (Full-Time) to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. Work Schedule Friday 2:30 p – 10:30 p / Saturday 7 a – 7:30 p / Sunday 7 a – 7:30 p Responsibilities Perform Magnetic Resonance studies while providing quality health‑care service with total patient care in a comfortable, friendly environment. Utilize working knowledge and operating MRI equipment on Siemens and GE MR Scanners and Advantage windows workstation. Apply routine magnetic resonance imaging protocols and perform patient examinations as set forth in the protocol by the designated radiologist, verifying quality of imaging before submission to radiologists. Prepare rooms and provide instructions to patient/family according to the procedure, explain the imaging procedure, and answer pertinent procedural questions. Prepare, administer, and document contrast media per departmental protocols under direct supervision of a radiologist/physician; observe patients for allergic reaction after contrast administration; start IVs and inject contrast material for imaging studies. Screen patients to be imaged for contraindications that may be hazardous to their health or to the safety of others. Maintain work habits consistent with hospital and departmental policies; report unsafe conditions and incidents to the immediate supervisor and demonstrate safe work habits. Operate hospital computer systems for patient data entry, retrieval, order entry, and completion of studies. Provide care with respect to patient age, developmental age, or social maturity. Work well with others, aid in training new personnel, students, and physicians. Ensure regular attendance, work flexible schedule, and work on an on‑call basis as required. Job Requirements Trade school or college based training required (e.g., hospital‑based program, associate or bachelor degree program, graduate of an accredited MRI program or completion of MRI training program). Must be registered as an MR Technologist with ARRT, ARMIT, or CAMRT; OR must be ARRT registered and obtain MRI board certification within 18 months of hire; OR must hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in an allied health field and be certified through ARDMS or NMTCB, with MRI board certification required within 18 months of hire; OR graduate of an accredited MRI program with minimum 6 months supervised clinical MRI scanning experience, registry‑eligible through ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB, and obtain MRI board certification within 90 days of hire. Minimum of six (6) months experience required. American Heart Association BLS Certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire. State of Delaware Radiation License required within 90 days of hire for anyone holding NMTCB licensure only. Pediatric MRI experience preferred.
