Field Services Engineer

Field Service Engineer - Basic Statement of Position Client is seeking a highly professional customer focused Field Service Engineer to join our Support & Training team. The successful candidate will live in the Boston, MA area and serve as a support and training engineer for our clients in the Americas. He/She will provide our new and existing customers comprehensive training of the Client imaging products line. He/She will be responsible for providing prompt support to our users, while achieving the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. He/She will maintain a high level of technical expertise in all aspects of the Client products, including the biological, computerized and optical features of our products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Installation of Client systems at customers sites· Training of new users to successfully operate the Client systems & software· Demonstrating Client systems and applications· Provide remote and on-site support to Client customers by installing, fine-tuning, and maintaining Client systems and applications.The position requires diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hardware, software, and system failuresYou will document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and focus on maximizing customer satisfactionFrequent travel required, 60-70% of the time, mostly within the US & Canada, but may be to other regions on the globeRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in life science, biomed, or a technical fieldFamiliarity with Microscopy, Cytogenetics, Fluorescence In-situ Hybridization (FISH), Cell Morphology, and Immunostaining analysis is an advantage.Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.Problem solver with good technical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to understand computer algorithms and to tune parameters.Outstanding ability to explain, demonstrate and present new biological and technical concepts to new usersOther requirementsHandle stress effectivelyWillingness to work outside of normal working hours and in rare cases on weekendsValid PassportValid driver license When not traveling, work from client office in Billerica MA
