Quality Manager

POSITION SUMMARY Develop, implement and sustain the quality systems required to assure delivery of products and services that exceed total quality requirements. Lead the facility in the application of total quality activities that result in continuous process improvements and reduce total cost. Responsible for maintaining ISO 9001, AS 9100, and military QPL maintenance programs such as Mil‑PRF‑39010 and Mil‑PRF‑27. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage, lead, and mentor the quality department team Oversight of incoming quality and regulation of supplier performance to quality standards Develop and drive customer‑specific quality requirements Interface with customers to resolve quality problems by determining root cause and corrective actions Lead quality team efforts to improve internal quality Implement sustainable quality processes in the production environment Support manufacturing, sales, and customer service in resolving quality problems and implementing corrective actions Use FBS processes and tools to address customer‑specific quality problems Embrace and utilize the daily management process Develop audit programs and procedures for all levels of audit activity Ensure consistency of purchased components through vendor certification and effective acceptance criteria Provide support and information for new and sustaining product development regarding quality processes, tooling, and fixtures, aimed at one‑piece flow Maintain ISO and AS 9100 quality systems QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, a United States citizen is required. Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent written, verbal, and technical presentation skills Highly organized and task‑focused, with minimal supervision required Excellent project management skills Proficiency with common software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline Supervisory or management experience required Prior quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with military specifications beneficial Variation reduction and problem‑solving skills Mathematical and statistical analysis skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands include using hands for routine tasks, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in a moderate noise environment. LANGUAGE SKILLS Read, analyze, and interpret strategic business templates and information. REASONING ABILITY Solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Respect and protect all confidential, privileged, personal, legally regulated, and proprietary information. Salary range: $98,000 – $162,700 Compensation is based on a variety of factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, qualifications, and business considerations.
