Operations Director - HVAC & MEP Commercial Construction - Texas Gryphon Oakwood are currently partnered with a leading mechanical specialty contractor in Texas, seeking an experienced Operations Director to support and oversee continued growth across their commercial construction division. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong background delivering large-scale HVAC and MEP construction projects across Mission Critical, Government, Retail, and broader commercial markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in operational strategy, project execution, team leadership, and business growth throughout the region. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day operations across multiple HVAC & MEP construction projects Oversee project delivery from preconstruction through completion Drive operational efficiency, scheduling, manpower planning, and financial performance Manage and mentor Project Managers, Operations teams, and field leadership Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives across Texas Qualifications Proven experience leading Ground Up HVAC & MEP commercial construction projects Strong exposure to Mission Critical/Data Center, Government, Retail, Healthcare, or large commercial sectors Demonstrated experience managing multiple large-scale projects and operations teams Strong financial acumen with responsibility for P&L, forecasting, and project performance Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Ability to drive growth while maintaining operational excellence If this role is of interest and matches your background.
