Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking God’s choice for a full time pastor. We are a small rural church established in 1909 and located in Laurel, Mississippi. We are a multigenerational congregation with approximately 75-85 in worship attendance. Our Music Minister is bivocational and does an excellent job of blending hymns and contemporary worship music with scripture to support the service vision.
We have Sunday School classes for all ages and both morning and evening services. On Wednesday night we have a Bible Study/Prayer service with separate classes for youth and children.
We are a mission minded church and support the Cooperative Program, State, National, and International missions. We have also sent out and fully support a family from our church full time to Peru for the past 10 years along with its 4 mission points.
We are a loving fellowship and welcome a pastor who will help us grow and reach our community for Christ. We’re praying for a pastor who stands on the authority of the Word of God and unashamedly preaches it without shrinking back. He proclaims the necessity of the repentance of sin, turning to God and having saving faith in Christ. A man with a servant’s heart who will walk in humility with gentleness and patience, modeling the love of Christ so the church will follow his leadership and be inspired to become more like Christ. A man with a passion for evangelism and missions.
