Cost Accountant
Babich & Associates
An established and stable company with annual revenues of over $40 million and a team of over 200 employees is seeking to expand its lean, high-performing accounting team. Company operates with a tight-knit accounting department of 5 professionals. Due to an upcoming retirement company is restructuring their department and looking for talented accounting professionals with a proven background in manufacturing industry. This is a unique, pivotal time to join this companies team as they are currently implementing a brand-new, integrated accounting system. Selected candidate will have the opportunity to not only learn companies operations but also help shape and develop their new financial infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Cost & General Accounting: Take ownership of cost accounting functions previously shared by senior leadership, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis. System Implementation: Learn, test, and help develop our new integrated accounting system, ensuring a smooth transition and optimized workflows. Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Controller and Senior Accountant to manage daily, monthly, and year-end accounting operations. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Strong background in cost accounting or general corporate accounting in a production environment including inventory reconciliations, cogs analysis, and production related entries and reporting. Technical Savvy: Experience with or a strong aptitude for integrated accounting systems and ERP implementations is highly advantageous. Credentials: A CPA license is highly valued but it is not a requirement. Bachelor's in Accounting is a must. Mindset: A proactive learner who thrives in a small team environment and is excited about system modernization. Company believes in planning for the future.
