Account Manager /Specialty Account Manager - IgG4 - (Rare Disease) Akron, OH

Amgen seeks an Account Manager or Specialty Account Manager to represent IgG4-related disease products across a territory in Ohio. The role combines direct sales to healthcare professionals with account management, market development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive adoption and patient education in rare disease.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned sales objectives by promoting patient-centered disease and product education to healthcare professionals
• Execute strategic account business plans and marketing goals through consultative, solution-oriented selling
• Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare institutions across academic, integrated delivery networks, and community hospital systems
• Develop clinical and scientific expertise in IgG4-related disease and coordinate with case managers, medical affairs, and patient access teams
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies and appropriate documentation while navigating complex rare disease healthcare landscape

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales experience (or equivalent combination with Associate/high school diploma)
• 7+ years biotech or specialty pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
• 3+ years rare disease or orphan drug sales experience; ultra-orphan and launch experience strongly preferred
• 3+ years in-office injection or infusion sales with patient access coordination
• Immunology or rheumatology background preferred
• Matrix environment collaboration experience with patient services, medical affairs, and reimbursement teams
• Complex disease education capability and independent work in fast-paced environment
