Role Overview

California Custom Fruits and Flavors is seeking Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates daily pulling and issuance of raw materials, packaging and bulk tank sweeteners to prepare for production use.  Oversees all activities related with moving finished goods from the raw material stage to end user.  Performs daily cycle counts to optimize inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy through a lot number/location driven system.  Supervises the functions of shipping, receiving, order pulling and sales order fulfillment including certificate of analysis, export and hazmat document paperwork. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage staff who prepare formula batches to make production ready 
• Supervise all activities associated with moving finished goods from the raw material stage to end user 
• Cross-organizational traceability – items are traced backward through the manufacturing process to suppliers 
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits 
• Train and monitor staff 
• Provide leadership 
• Supervise the functions of shipping and receiving 
• Responsible for annual employee performance reviews  
• Prepares disciplinary write-ups when appropriate 
• Manage employees effectively, fairly and consistently 
• Conducts investigations into overages/shortages/FIFO of stock 
• Oversees the cold and dry storage areas  to ensure maximum use of available space  
• Promote teamwork 
• Perform responsibilities of Assistant Supply Chain Manager when needed 
• Follow GMPs and all food safety policies and procedures 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in warehousing, logistics and inventory control 
• Exceptional problem-solving skills 
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills 
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Management and related software system programs 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer based applications 
• Knowledge and ability to use Handheld Scanners 
• Possess leadership qualities and directs the work of others 
• Ability to coach, develop  and train employees 
• Effective communication and people skills 
• Detail oriented 
• Forklift certified (attend bi-annual forklift training) 
• Hazmat certified (attend bi-annual hazmat training) 
• Food Safety & Quality programs, including, but not limited to: HACCP, GMP’s, Allergen Control, Food Security, SQF Systems (SQF Practitioner or equivalent training) 
• Must be trained in all Supply Chain related applications of the Deacom software system used by CCFF
